Internet Design Team Experience

PETSMART.COM

I was responsible for the daily and weekly workload for a team of six designers while working for a leading online pet retailer. I was the creative lead/contact person for the marketing and content departments in that I was responsible for managing their needs and expectations from my design team. Members of my team and I designed site offers, announcements, a weekly newsletter etc, assisted on two site redesigns and several holiday facelifts/decorating and re-created RCSteele.com the online presence of the successful pet print catalogue which was later folded into PETsMART.com. I also served as interim Creative Director during a four month search for a CD.

CITYSEARCH.COM
Web Designer / June 1996 - August 1997

websites for Citysearch communities. I suggested and was sent to the Salt Lake City office to teach sales teams the possibilities and parameters of site design. In Washington D.C. I was responsible for teaching our working methods to designers of the Washingtonpost.com who would be using the Citysearch engineering to power their own city-guide. I was the contact person for the marketing/business development teams who gave tours of the design department to potential partners/investors. I was charged with leading the bi-weekly design team meetings.

Internet Marketing and Design Experience

PRO ITALIA LOS ANGELES
Web Design - Marketing / January 2004 - present

I have led a project that has completely revamped the online presence of one of the country's top dealers of exotic Italian motorcycles and accessories. Though internet marketing, several print campaigns and an expanded and constantly updated website, online sales were taken from negligible to 80k in one year and for 2005 Pro Italia was awarded "Best Website" at the Ducati Dealer's convention. Responsibilities range from weekly meetings with shop staff to discuss their needs, the growth and maintenance of Pro Italia's online store, the creation (text and images) of the bi-weekly online newsletter, any and all print needs as well as the creation and support of promotional events.

Animation Experience

CARTOON NETWORK STUDIOS - Juniper Lee
Color Key / September 2004 - present

I am currently employed in the Color Key department of a new cartoon series, The life and times of Juniper Lee. The Color Key department is responsible for all props, characters and effects in an animated series. Due to the emphasis on color within the show, I work closely with the Art Director (Alan Bodner) and am responsible for creating the proper look and feel for not only each episode but often many different scenes within the episode. Because of this emphasis on color, I instigated pre-episode meetings with the A.D. and the Show Runner to manage workload and expectations relative to shipping deadlines.

CARTOON NETWORK STUDIOS - Megas XLR
Color Key / April 2003 - July 2004

I was employed as a Color Key Stylist - props, characters and effects - for the 1/2 hour cartoon Megas XLR. In addition to Megas XLR, I have worked on a freelance basis for The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Evil Con Carne and Ben 10.

SONY PICTURES/COLUMBIA TRI-STAR
Color Stylist / August 1997 - March 2000

I colored digital backgrounds for 1/2 hour television cartoons “Jumanji“ for three seasons and one season of the David Spade project “Sammy”. After scanning, background illustrations were colored in Photoshop then proofed by Producer/Creative Director. I annotated the backgrounds in Painter and printed them before they were sent to Korea where the finished cartoons were assembled.
